The brainchild of longtime death metal fan and guitarist John Corpse, GloryInDecay originally formed as a one-man project in the Boston area sometime in 2003. Fed up with weak hard rock bands, rap-rock shitheads, and wastes of life who thought System of a Down was metal, Corpse decided that the best way to be in a band with no losers in it was to just form his own fucking band, a band wholly dedicated to death metal. Right from the start, Corpse saw to it that GloryInDecay was not influenced by rap, punk, jazz, or anything fucking else. GloryInDecay was to be pure death metal.

It wasn't long before John Corpse had laid down the law in the form of raw demo tracks on which he played guitar and bass, sang, and programmed drums. Not really giving a shit about bassists, drummers, or singers, he decided to recruit second guitarist Keith Christhunter, who would also provide brutal lyrics. Since Corpse was in the Boston area and Christhunter was in NYC there would be no touring possibilities, but neither of them cared. The focus would be on writing and recording.

Together, Corpse and Christhunter then turned out One Body, Ten Pieces, a true underground death metal effort. Self-released in May 2004, One Body, Ten Pieces was written and recorded with no hopes for stardom or monetary gain. GloryInDecay is a K.I.Y. ( Kill it yourself!) band. They write death metal because they fucking love death metal. Fuck profits. One Body, Ten Pieces is seven tracks of relentless underground death metal, and that's the only thing that matters.
